Sixteen year old Jack is surprised when he arrives at his late grandfather's will-reading, along with his mother and his distant Uncle. Not only is Jack asked to play a little game in order to find out who 'wins' Grandfather's estate, but he's also told he will need to stay in the delapidated mansion alone, without electricity, for two weeks. At first the idea seems like a real adventure, with all those rooms and gardens; but when Jack finds that he is not alone, and that someone really, really wants him out of the picture, will he survive this crazy game of cat and mouse?
Jack is in for quite a few surprises: from who it is that wants him out of the house, the lengths they will go to win, and just who is waiting for him at the end.
