I want you to meet my dog, Shanti. If you say “Aw, she is so cute,” then you are saying her name right! She was born on October 9, 2007. Shanti was only six weeks old when she came to live with me. Shanti quickly became a part of my family. I have been very lucky. Watching Shanti play teaches me how to be a good person. Shanti does not think about how people are different. She only cares how we treat each other. Shanti is friendly and kind. She only asks that we act with friendship and kindness, too. Shanti’s name means “peace,” and peaceful is a pretty great way to be!
