This suspenseful, adventure/rescue story for kids 7-12 explores the powerful truth about how our differences often yield the best benefits.
When middle school classmates super jock Dirk Bailey and brainy nerd Alejandra Ballesteros get lost overnight in the Santa Fe Mountains while collecting nature specimens for a science project, they decide to seek refuge in an old barn. The only problem is that the barn is home to chop shop criminals disassembling stolen car parts to sell on the black market. Dirk is discovered by the thugs and held captive in the barn while Alejandra’s mind works overtime plotting a way to rescue him without both of them getting killed.
