'The author of the novel R.L. Holmes is a talented, fantasy writer who captivated my imagination and intrigued me. I adore her wonderfully executed plot as well as her stunning literature. The objective of any great writer is that of any kind of artist; it is to delight the recipient whether that be the listener, the viewer or the reader... in this case the reader. Holmes has wonderfully delighted me and has enchanted me so perfectly. This is why I am in such awe of Holmes, she is a creative genius and a visionary thinker that is also passionate and articulate and this, in my opinion, is a hard balance to find these days in the art of literature.' - Goodreads Reviewer
'To find the end you must start at the beginning.'
Madar Guirmean and her Outbounding clan time travel through the books in Vulgare's library, seeking clues to when Crios Fuath became the treacherous Crios the Black. This requires them to follow the life of Crios's mother Eidheann, an exceedingly talented Myddvai(magician) born into a common family near Laoch Forest in the elven land of Ulmaria.
In this book the two lives, mother and son, are aligned, we follow Crios's life when his mother killed herself and he was sent to an orphanage run by the legendary elven guardian, Fraoch Sithe or Ma Sithe to the common folk, a terrifying yet compassionate widow who was used to receiving instant respect, until Crios came along.
