The legend is born.
The blessed blade, Caliburn, is in his hand. The fort from which he leads the north is under his control. There is but one hurdle remaining to seal his legend.
But the final villain is cunning and terrifying, a man without morality, who burns everything in his path. To take him down, Aidan will require all his Trusted to support him… and he’ll need to place the most cherished people in his life in the gravest of dangers.
As the third-born son of a Knight of the Order of Britain, in the wake of the Roman departure from the British Isles Aidan is set to complete twelve tasks in a year at his father’s behest. The monk’s document is thick with the birth of a nation.
Aidan and the monk have formed a bond that cannot be broken, not in their own time nor in all the years to follow, as Aidan seeks to complete his final three tasks: form a base from which to command and clear the field of all enemies and slay a dragon.
Aidan will prove to have more depth than just the pursuit of these tasks, for he is heroic in the face of dangers not imagined at the outset of his quest. His morality will be tested. His heart will be tested.
And ultimately, the monk documenting Aidan’s journey will be setting upon the parchment the origins of a legend. This is the fourth and final collection in the King Arthur Origins series.
