For her fifteenth birthday, LeeAnna gets a diary from her mother. This is the perfect gift because she is determined that fifteen is when her life begins! LeeAnna is tired of her sheltered existence and is eager to break out from under her parents’ rules and start making her own decisions…behind her parents’ backs of course!
LeeAnna has been crushing on the school’s Romeo, Mickey Butters, for a year and he seems to like her too. She’s ready to make her move with the help of her best friend Brianna who has had her share of experience with the fellas. LeeAnna has had zero experience with boys because she’s not allowed to date until she’s sixteen, however that’s all about to change with an accelerated lesson in dating by Mickey.
LeeAnna is warned by her brother and many others that Mickey is not the guy for her but LeeAnna is stubborn and continues to pursue what she believes to be her prince charming anyway. Mickey is a guy that is used to getting what he wants from girls.
