Fred James "Catfish" Jackson was left fatherless when his biological father denied him and his mother, frail and heartbroken, took him on a roller coaster ride of child abuse, neglect and homelessness which landed her in the North Carolina Correction Center for Women and young Fred in a foster home. His mother died at age 36 from alcohol abuse and poor health. Fred was released to his grandparents and a grandfather who really didn't want another mouth to feed. A stay that was short lived and again young Fred was homeless at age 14. Jackson went on to graduate from the University of San Diego and the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Mr. Jackson then taught for many year and is now one of America's most highly sought after high octane motivational speakers. He is dynamic, inspiring and charismatic.
