The Sorrow seeped into the hearts of the citizens of Ermendrud; the land was slowly dying. Anima has grown quiescent as brother betrays brother and the minds of men become tainted. Murder and mayhem plague the countryside, turning humankind into fertile ground for the Sorrow to sow her seeds of dissent. Evil shifts the balance and the only hope for Anima to tip the scales was locked away, dormant, in a bastion waiting to be awakened.
