Dust Jacket Condition: No d/w. Jean De Brunhoff (illustrator). First. This is the real first impression of this work. Text is printed in a handwriting font in the original French. Externally, the pale yellow quarter cloth is split at the head of the upper joint, and knocked at the head and foot of the lower joint. The corners are worn, with loss of the glazed paper. There is rubbing to the extremities, and there are some small light scratch marks on the upper board. The lower board has some light indentations. Internally there is a tear to the fornt tail hinge of the spine of 11.5 cm in length and 3.5cm to the rear. There is a small amount of biro scribbling to the rear end paper and there are some thumbings and light foxing/ stains intermittently throughout the text.
