Dick was trained in The Circle City till he was two and one-half years old, then the writer moved to Santa Monica, Cal., and there he was trained for one year. The author is a trainer who trained under that famous old horseman, Professor Magnor of Battle Creek, Michigan. That grand old man knew how to handle horses and from him the writer learned his lesson and learned it well. The author knows that good old man's secrets and knows them well. The author of this book has a memory that serves him well and this case has proved it in many ways and to this memory he owes his success in this, hls great trip. The author hoped to make this little horse the most famous and most talked about horse in the U. S. A. And in the world today.
