Stage Shy

Charlie Peterson feels like a nobody.

Tyler, Charlie’s younger brother, and his new baby sister get all the attention. Even at Charlie’s twelfth birthday party. Worst of all, Charlie’s parents are forcing him to join an after school activity and he’s plumb out of ideas.

Luckily, Charlie’s grandfather (a local actor known as Freedom Man) and his inspirational language arts teacher point him in the right direction. Charlie finds himself cast as Goose Boy in the community production of Scrooge, despite a bad case of stage fright.

He must now sing, dance and act in front of hundreds of people—all while trying not to make a fool of himself. If all goes well, he may earn the admiration of the girl of his dreams and finally start to feel like a somebody.

STAGE SHY captures the humor, stress and excitement of performing live in this heartwarming story.
