Spooky Campfire Tales Vol. 1.

language (WriterMotive.com Oct. 24, 2016)
A collection of thought provoking and gripping stories, all with a supernatural twist; spine tingling but without being scary. Intended to be told or read they are ideal for younger listeners or readers, having been written for the 8 to 13 year old age range, with one exception specifically for younger children, but seemingly enjoyed by all; Christmas at Crickleton Hollow. … how does Santa really get his presents delivered without anyone seeing?

Where possible verifiable historical facts are included as children enjoy checking these for themselves. Animal loyalty is much in evidence, be it a small tortoiseshell cat determined to right an ancient wrong or Falcon the black stallion who gave his life, but never gave up. Then there is the village in France where the people saved many thousands of children from the Nazis in WWII. Were they really helped by a witch's 'familiar', her little black cat?

Great for the Camp Fire, or maybe just light a few candles, gather round, put out the lights and travel to a different world........
