Do Not Resuscitate

Everyday for seventeen years she's controlled my life. I was never allowed to do as I please or change anything. Every time we argue, the silence is broken by our screams towards each other. Each day I see her, I wonder why she does this to me. How could someone do these things to their own child? I often wonder if my life is even worth living. But, I know that I can't let her win this battle. She won't do this to me anymore. I need to make sure that she will NEVER do the things she does to me to another person. And now, now that I am given the opportunity to change my future, I am 100% sure of what to do. This is my life. She just doesn't know it yet.
