Vanquished

Vanquished is a medieval tale of knights, chivalry and castles. While the French people of Languedoc are enjoying a golden age of peace, beautiful poetry and music, Marie and Alard fall in love and marry into the Cathar faith. Unknown to them Pope Innocent III is planning a crusade that will crush the rival Cathar church once and for all. Can the fortified city of Carcassonne stand firm against his brutal invading army and will Marie and Alard escape the bloodshed by fleeing to safety?
