Think about it! If you don't have a scale, how do you weigh an elephant? It's an old tale in a modern setting with an interesting problem that needs solving.I remember this tale from a book I read in elementary school. In those days we called it grammar school. Anyway, the story stayed with me. It's probably from an African folktale. but I really don't know. Grandparents can be funny, odd, peculiar. So I told the story using two of my grandkids and myself. I hope you like it, and remember it as long as I did. Oh, you might want to try the puzzle on your science teacher.
