The Moon Horses of Malaron follows the diary entries of Taylor who moves from Brisbane to outback Queensland when her parents accept work on Malaron Station. Taylor is not happy about the move, but she learns to love the outback, and the magic of the Moon Horses. Follow the life of this independent girl as she learns about life, friendship, magic, and the importance of following her heart, from her outback station all the way to space.

There are comprehension questions available for all the Short Reads stories if anyone wants to use the them for students in English, literacy, or ESL classes.
