(Lantern Books Feb. 18, 2018)
Lanre's day started the same as any other, that is until he had a dream with the Stream Queen!
Was the dream real? Would the Stream Queen really grant his wish?
Lanre lives with his parents and grandmother who send him on errands every now and then. On one such occasion, Lanre's grandmother asks him to go and buy her fried bean balls (akara) at the market down the street. On his way back and in a bid to escape further errands, Lanre heads for the stream.
At the river bank, he falls asleep and dreams of a mystical fish waking him up. He asks the fish to grant his wish that he be left in peace when he gets home.
On getting home, Lanre's problem's, rather than come to an end, suddenly increase as the slightest attempt on his part to help turns disastrous.
Follow Lanre on this wondrous adventure. Will the wish the Stream Queen granted him help or cause him even more trouble? Will Lanre learn his lesson and be happy to be part of the family?
