When 17 year old Samantha Wittier is given a high school term project, she is unaware of the correlation between this assignment and the fragments of her shattered soul. However, as the seeds that she is experimenting with grow and develop, she can no longer ignore the relationship that links them to her and the loved ones in her life. Through these intensifying synchronicities, Sam must reflect upon the underlying magic that surrounds her. But, when tragedy strikes, Sam is left to discover whether or not she has inside herself what is necessary to truly transition, or, if her heart will ultimately wilt and die as a result of all the ugliness that influences her simple, yet complex, life.
