When Marina moves to a new bay, the mermaids who live there don’t accept her. She looks different and she acts different too. She feels sad and swims away to be by herself for a while. That’s when she comes across an octopus named Octavia who’s been captured by pirates. After Marina saves Octavia, they become close friends and Octavia gives her a beautiful pink pearl necklace. But, when she begins to swim home she sees that one of the mermaids who rejected her, Cleodora, has been captured. Will she use her beautiful necklace to save Cleodora or will she swim away and leave Cleodora to her fate?
