Gingerbread Man is a simple story that teaches a lot. When a Little Old Woman and a Little Old Man bake a Gingerbread Man the fun begins. . . No one wanted the Gingerbread Man until he started to run. Suddenly everyone wanted to eat him. The chase that followed gathered people and animals who wanted to join in the chase. The only one who did not chase him was the sly fox who offered to help him cross the river. This classic tale presented in a simple verse by R.F. Gilmor is fun to read and always a delight for young children. Does the Gingerbread Man bragging too much that no one could catch him, only to be caught in the end? A simple fable that means a lot.
