Almost Rich: Lessons from My Secret Week Away Living as a Millionaire
Paperback
(Independently published May 21, 2017)
I wish I was rich. If I was rich, my parents wouldn't need to argue every night about money. If I was rich, I could buy some nice new clothes that actually fit me. If I was rich, we could afford to turn on the heating during winter. If I was rich, my parents could buy a new car and I wouldn't need to catch the bus every day to school. But I'm not rich. I have a poor dad and mum who don’t have a wealth mindset or rich habits. I’m living in option B. And even though my parents both work very hard every day, they don't have much at the end of the day to show for it. I don't know if I will ever be rich, maybe I will grow rich slowly or maybe not, but after seeing rich people problems I'm not sure I want to be rich. Sure having money is nice, but it doesn't solve your problems. There are so many things in the world that I want more than money. I might be a poor little schoolgirl today but I have big dreams for tomorrow. I am going to stop worrying and start living. You see, I was rich for a week. And it was a week that would change my life forever. This is my story. Almost rich.
