We All Wore Blue: The Inspiring True Story of an Immigrant Youth Soccer Team’s Journey from Underdogs to Champions

language (BookBaby Dec. 8, 2019)
We All Wore Blue is the true account of a Seattle area youth soccer team that somehow transformed over several seasons into a team composed largely of immigrants from as many as sixteen different countries including most major races and religions.
The story tells how these middle-class American white kids and their families bonded with these immigrant boys and their families and together they learned to deal with numerous challenges, much adversity and racism. Though they had little in common, other than their love of the game of soccer, they became an extended family of sorts and embraced one another and celebrated their differences on their way to winning two State Championships. A truly inspirational story for our country and our world and a unifying message for these turbulent times. A story that will surely be enjoyed by all; those who have played, coached or been involved with youth sports and especially those who love the "beautiful game", soccer.
