Nobody believes that kids can fly and before her life changed forever, nine-year-old Sophie Addams would have agreed with them. Birds can fly and butterflies can fly, but a flying kid? Who ever heard of a flying kid? Nobody. That is until Sophie receives the surprise of her life on one very special New Year’s Eve. Sophie is ecstatic to discover that she can fly! After sharing the wonderful news with her little brother, Todd, they discover that he can fly too! Sophie and Todd zoom all around the house, enjoying their new-found flight. It seems like the fun of flying could never end, but then everything changes. A strange and sinister man appears at Sophie’s house, stealing what could be the most valuable object in the world, the very item that allows Sophie and Todd to fly! Sophie and Todd chase after the man on an exhilarating, dangerous, and breath-taking journey of flight. Can Sophie get the key to their flight back in time? Or will she become a flightless little bird forever?
