Before leaving to go to a birthday party, Ollie and his sister Muffy promise they they would not get dirty along the way. But from mud to ashes, Ollie manages to get himself so dirty that no one at the party recognized him and chased him away. Sad and confused, Ollie must figure out how to get back to the party and what to tell his mother.
