When 5-year-old Bobby is laughed at for not knowing how to ride his new bicycle, his bee-keeper neighbour tells him the story of young Bartholomew bumblebee who encounters a scientist during a flight through his orchard. After Bartholomew is told he can't fly and then suddenly discovers it to be true, he worries for his own bee kind as he treks back to his hive and is summoned before the Queen Bee herself, hoping there is some way to solve the mystery. Bobby finds inspiration in Bartholomew's revelation as the Secret of Why Bumblebees Buzz gets passed along to him, too.
