Kelly lived in Fraser Bay when she was a baby, but she can’t remember it; the family moved inland when she was a toddler.
Her mother later drowned in the sea at Fraser Bay, but Kelly can’t remember that either.
So why does she feel an overwhelming need to go back there?
A need that makes her forge her Dad’s signature on the school excursion form to the Bay when he refuses to let her go.
A need that sends her walking up to the far end of the beach, in among the rocks.
