Kyra, a young girl, who just moved to the Northern Wisconsin/Minnesota area, is tormented and treated as an outsider by her peers. That soon changes when a boy named Aaron comes into her life, and offers her his friendship. Aaron is a friend like no other. He has special powers that enable him and others like him, to transform into dragons. Their friendship quickly becomes overshadowed by an old nemesis named Grackle. Long ago, when dragons sought refuge in the new land, they brought with them a sinister force, a force that will stop at nothing to be the dragon king. He has a plan to rid the earth of all humans, starting with Kyra. Kyra has vowed to do all she can do to help defeat Grackle while her new friends vow to do everything they can to keep Kyra alive.
