Doolan the Doughnut Dragon of Dunganoon: A fully illustrated picture book for kids 9 to 12

eBook (Northgate Information Publishers Aug. 27, 2013)
Doolan the Doughnut Dragon of Dunganoon is a fully illustrated children’s picture book. It tells the story of a dragon who thought he was a horse. (But whoever heard of a green horse?) Doolan is helped to discover his true identity by Sally the Little Orphan Girl. Together with Gnorbitt the Gnome, they all save the village of Dunganoon from a wicked band of bandits, who try to convince the people of the town that a ferocious dragon has returned to burn it to the ground. Along the way, there is much mayhem and skulduggery, as well as a large dollop of courage from our brave heroes. Oh, and there are doughnuts. Doolan the Doughnut Dragon of Dunganoon is the only book published this year to make the fairly obvious point that it’s easier to be brave when bravery is accompanied by a little of what you fancy. And if you are concerned about how bad doughnuts are for your children’s health, the publishers wish to point out that Doolan, Sally and Gnorbitt all eat specially prepared doughnuts made in Dunganoon’s bakery from the best and most healthy ingredients. How else would Doolan have the strength and the fitness to win the battle of Dunganoon?
