Eban lives in Nuwess, a country that runs on order. He is expected to attend military college. When he discovers that his missing mother is alive and he has a younger sister, he leaves to look for them in Yash, a country where guns are prohibited and people live in harmony. Meanwhile, his sister Jiyoti uses computer-assisted dreaming to send visions to Eban as they both search for the same woman.
When they meet in Yash, the two young people learn that Eban’s father is leading a military force intent on stealing the technological skills that Yash has managed to preserve. This has the potential to destroy the utopian dreams of Yash and the lives of the newly reunited siblings.
