Brilliant Blends

'Brilliant Blends' is an educational activity and craft . It was designed by a kindergarten teacher for her foreign language students as a means to learn to read in an engaging way. For each page 'Brilliant Blends' your child will read a repeating sentence with the featured blended sound. Each page of 'Brilliant Blends' is designed to be colored, cut out, and assembled into a mini book. What child hasn't created their own book? Now they can create 26 of them, and use each one for reading practice. Initial blends consist of two consonants that create a new sound when combined; words such as flower, shirt, or truck are examples of this. The goal of 'Brilliant Blends' is to master these tricky sounds while having fun. In addition to learning initial blends, your child will effortlessly expand their Dolch, or "sight words" vocabulary through repeated sentences on each page. 'Brilliant Blends' is a great way to establish to children that learning can be fun and creative.
