Very good clean tight sound square, no bookplate, inscription or ownership marks, remarkably free from foxing or browning. In very good bright gilt ruled and lettered blue cloth boards, with wonderful unclipped (6') colour pictorial dustwrapper by the inimitable W. Spence, featuring characteristic scene of Chalet girls escaping over a balcony against a Tyrolean backdrop to upper and running girl to spine. Evidently the dustwrapper has been preserved with a wrapper, since removed, so is in very good clean crisp condition, with the very lightest of chipping to corners and to spine not intruding or detracting in the least. Pale ghost mark of sellotape remain to endpapers and to verso of publisher's title list. This is the third tale in the Chalet School series of fifty eight. A charming and nostalgic treat for reader and collector alike, in lovely condition, this volume would grace any library.
