An emu lays two eggs but they both go missing from the nest. The animals of the bush go looking for the missing eggs and notice a strange lump in the snake’s belly. They realise that the snake has swallowed the egg. To get the egg back, they need help from the kangaroo. When the egg finally hits the ground, the animals realise it is a magical, golden egg.
