Moles of the Apocalypse

eBook (Tythby Hill July 11, 2013) , 1.1 edition
Watch Out! You shouldn't build your house just anywhere. Someone, or something, might already be living there. As a rule, moles are fairly easy going and put up with quite a lot. But this family of moles just aren't like that.

Everyone knows moles are clever. Think about it, when did you last see a run-over mole? Badgers, bunnies and hedgehogs get themselves run over all the time. They're just not careful. But not moles. So when a happy, friendly and loving family build their dream house on top of the home of some pretty ruthless and inventive moles, the results are far more than alarming!

But don't read this book if you are a delicate child. And you certainly shouldn't read it if you love all gentle creatures. And, most of all, YOU MUST NOT READ THIS BOOK IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO MOVE INTO A BRAND NEW HOUSE, recently built on land that had small tunnels just beneath the surface.

This book, short as it is, was written by my son Jack when he was about four. Jack has a very dark sense of humour. I recently rediscovered it, and thought that sharing it with you might just make your day. His writing isn't perfect though, so I've taken the liberty of writing what I think he wrote near where it should be, so that you - another very irresponsible adult - can pass the story on without too much bother.
