Beethoven and the Catastrophic Rondo

Twelve-year-old Maggie Watson wants nothing more than to retain her title as best young pianist in Dover Creek, Minnesota. But her nemesis Lilly Whyte challenges her every move. Seeking her piano teacher Melody Chandler's help in reaching her goal of defeating Lilly at the Fall Talent Show, Maggie is soon swept up in an extraordinary adventure. Aided by the Zimbelstern Accelerator, her teacher's special metronome, Maggie has the opportunity to meet Beethoven at one of the pivotal points in his life and learn one of his most famous compositions. What Maggie doesn't yet realize is that she has been chosen by a secret society to protect the integrity of all of music history from Ersten von Zimbelstern, the evil time-traveling villain who invented the magical metronome. Can Maggie keep the metronome away from Ersten? More importantly, can she save music history from an unrelenting narcissist who wants only to make a name for himself?
