Desperate to escape a pack of bullies, Elliot James jumps into the river and slips a hundred and forty-one years into the future. The future, however, is not what Elliot ever pictured. His town is ravaged by war, there is little to eat, and electricity is severely rationed. To top it off, he finds himself the target of a different brand of bullies, ones who will stop at nothing to get what they want.
