The Love Contest

language ( Sept. 10, 2018)
Once upon a time there was me, and I accidently crushed the heart of a dreamy boy, who became a famous rock-star—due to a hateful song he wrote about our break-up, and how I ‘broke his heart’ by brutally dumping him. Now he’s famous and adored by girls everywhere (including me!) I don’t want him to know that, though; that I realize I made a huge mistake. But the secret is pretty hard to keep when he moves back to town and I’m slated to be in a reality-show called “The Love Contest” where the now famous rock-star will choose a girl to be his love-interest in a teen romance movie he will be starring in. I want the role. Really bad. But there is no way I can win the love contest, right? The girl has to win his heart—but I broke his. He has a famous song proving that. But if I don’t win, the girl I hate definitely will. Grr!
This book is told in two parts. (They are both in this book.) The other part of the story is about the love contestant’s friends, beautiful Tatum and grieving Liam. Everyone wants Tatum to fix poor broken Liam, but the beautiful boy has broken Tatum’s heart in the past, so she’s not sure she can bear risking her heart again—especially when she has a perfect boyfriend now—or does she? (Tatum’s half of the story was previously titled: Love Liam.)
