Lung founded Jow Ga, along with his brothers and fellow Masters, Jow Hoy, Jow Biu , Jow Hip, and Jow Tin, in response to the social decay that plagued Western-occupied China in the early 1900's. The story details the life and struggles of Jow Lung from his humble beginnings in rural China, to his adventures and challenges in Malaysia when he left home at age 14 to seek his fortune abroad. The comic later tells the reemergence of Lung into China as a Kung Fu Master, and finally, as a military trainer for the Nationalist Armies of the Chinese Revolution, until his untimely death at age 29, during the 1918 pandemic.... . The story is written by Jow Ga Master Abdur-Rahim Muhammad at the Hung Tao Choy Mei Leadership Institute , a martial arts community organization in Washington, DC. Clay Harris is the illustrator for the graphic novel The story details the life and struggles of Jow Lung from his humble beginnings in rural China, to his adventures and challenges in Malaysia when he left home at age 14 to seek his fortune abroad. The comic later tells the reemergence of Lung into China as a Kung Fu Master.
