Kill Land
( April 10, 2018)
In the tunnels under Oxford, two women who have never met are about to commit murder together.
Welcome to the unseen Oxford, the one that lies beneath the dreaming spires.
Kill Land is the story of two women who find themselves drawn into this world: a police officer who survived atrocities in Bosnia as a child; and a lonely teenager seeking refuge and companionship. What they find is a world of companionship, beauty, parkour, and ultraviolence. Kill Land is a brutal, exquisitely nihilistic love poem, and a relentless thriller that refuses to let you go.
Stitch is a fairytale set in the same world. A modern retelling of The Monkey’s Paw, it was commissioned by Oxford Playhouse and was performed in a late night lock-in at Oxford’s Ashmolean.
A version of Kill Land was published as No Exit in the Pankhearst Singles series.
