Imaginary Journey

N. Mae Lafferty was born in Jefferson, North Carolina. She developed a love of children’s stories by reading bedtime stories to her own children when they were small. Mae’s son Mike (now 22) and her daughter Ashlee (now 16) are still the inspiration for most of Mae’s stories.
