Tales of the Swamp Creatures

Inspired by C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia, Paul David Powers explores the world of the swamp through the eyes of a child. The story centers on Telly the Owl and his subjects. In Chapter One, Telly is introduced along with Morris, a Yellow spotted frog, and Peabody, a three-legged mouse. Morris is the wrong color... Peabody is handicapped... Both are rejected as freaks! The swamp creatures are blind to racism until Morris rescues Peabody from a drowning pool; then the eyes of everyone are open. The adventure continues with Morris and Peabody, a deceitful snake, the Beavers, two Mischievous Squirrels, Mr. & Mrs. Rabbit, and others that fall prey to temptation. In every society there are rights and wrongs... Tales of the Swamp Creatures is a lesson of morals, the Ten Commandments and more.
