The book is an anthology of prayers, mainly modern. Each spread is introduced with a paragraph about prayer. The "something" to do" items from the first edition have been omitted, giving more space for illustration and prayer text. Mary Batchelor is the author of "The Children's Bible in 365 Stories" and "The Story of Jesus", and Carolyn Cox is the illustrator of "Lion Children's Bible", "My Own Book of Bible Stories" and the "First Look" series.
