The Country Cat Family: and the Cold Weather!

Kids love the Country Cat Family! They are a real cat family who owns a photographer/writer who captured their antics as they walked with him in the woods over a number of seasons. He wove their images into a series of children's stories and enhanced his images with art renderings.

In this book of 43 large colorful illustrations, the Country Cat Family wait for the cold weather to lift. Palamino and Carmella, the young cats, especially, wonder what adventures might wait for them in the woods.

Until then, Dad, or King Tam, notes winter is coming after seeing his old friend, Barney the Barn Owl perched on a limb. King Tam settles in to tell his wife Winkie and the kids Carmella and Palamino that winter would soon be upon them. No chance of going out to play in the woods until it has passed.

So images show unique pictures of the entire cat family playing, running, sending letters at the computer and being close to each other as each waits in their own way for the cold weather to pass.
