In this story, squirrels Marvin and Scotty have been friends for a long time. One day, Marvin has trouble finding any nuts, and he realizes that Scotty has collected all the nuts in the area for himself. No matter how much Marvin asks to have a nut for himself and his family, Scotty won’t help. It turns out that Scotty wants to be the squirrel with the most nuts in the world.
Marvin is terribly disappointed in Scotty, and he isn’t sure he even wants to be friends anymore. Marvin believes that friends should help each other when they need it, and he doesn’t like that Scotty only cares about himself.
One day Scotty is in terrible trouble, and the only way he could ever get out of it is from the help of someone else. The problem is since Scotty only cares about himself, there aren’t a lot of people left that care about Scotty anymore. It is all up to Marvin – will he help out his old friend when he needs it the most? Will Scotty ever change his ways?
