Beware the Dark Sky

In 2168, humans have colonized several nearby star systems. In the Tau Epsilon system, on the third moon of the gas giant Delphi, the colony of Avalon sits as humanity’s furthest colony yet, and while it has thrived and grown, it will soon face a situation that none had predicted or prepared for. A young lieutenant, part of a military detachment sent to Avalon to investigate suspected weapons smuggling and assess an unidentified contact that has hidden among the orbiting asteroid belt, is eager to prove herself to her superiors. The commander of the small military force, a hardened veteran with a sordid past, whose stake in the mission is as much personal as professional. And a nervous analyst with a kind heart, who struggles to navigate daily life with his anxieties; he, and the others, must contend with the appearance of aliens, the first ever encounter for humanity. Given no chance for diplomacy, the people of Avalon must fight to survive the invasion.
