Portrait of My Best Friend

language ( Nov. 22, 2019)
Charlotte spends all of her time in her bedroom drawing pictures of a beautiful redhead. Autumn would be the perfect girlfriend if Charlotte wanted a girlfriend. Which she doesn't. Because she's not gay. Honestly, she's not sure. She does have a bit of a crush on Leslie Franklin, but that girl is a Goddess, and she did accidentally see her naked. What was she supposed to do, not look? Is it possible to be a little gay? Is that a thing?

One day the girl in Charlotte's painting, or someone that looks exactly like her, sits down next to her in English class. She has the same auburn hair as Autumn, the same crazy long legs, and the same perfect face. Suddenly, being gay doesn't seem like such a bad idea. But Lilly Franklin isn't Autumn, and she's a long way from perfect!

Figuring out who you are is difficult when the only person you can talk to isn't real, and the girl you're falling for has plenty of issues of her own. But with a little help from a friend, Charlotte is figuring out that if you want to be happy, you can't deny who you are or who you really want to be with.

"A unique, sometimes hilarious and heart-warming story of two young women coping with their sexuality and searching for the right kind of love. Their coming together is a triumph of the heart!"
