My Best Friend Skippy

My best friend Skippy shared my life for seventeen wonderful years. When we were children, my brother Harvey crawled through cobwebs on his knees into a dark cellar to save the lives of nine puppies and their mother. We placed them on my bed alongside their mother and later gave all but one to caring homes. Harvey named our puppy Skippy. Soon our beautiful collie shepherd Skippy grew into a wonderful friend, enriching our lives with his protection, loyalty, and devotion. I'll always be grateful to my brother Harvey for saving Skippy from that cold, dark cellar.
