"I loved spending the Summer holidays on my grandparents' farm, but this time was different. There were so many weird things going on it was unbelievable. Buildings were catching fire, bikes and lawn mowers and fruit were disappearing, prowlers were wandering around at nights, and we seemed to get tangled up with strange people everywhere we turned. And all this in a dozy little village where nothing ever happened. My cousins - Kelly and Michael - were thrilled to have so many mysteries to solve and were determined to investigate, even though Gran had threatened to send us home if there was any trouble. I wasn't so sure, but decided to go along with them - and it got really scary."
