Valida Smith, a freshman at Oakwood High, fears something called the Darkness: a place inside her mind that whispers her greatest fears in her mind and amplifies her fear of them. But when a secretive person by the nickname "Potato Brain" joins her in the Darkness, her world turns upside down. Aided by the Legendary Keepers, Valida learns more of who she is - and what she is up against. As time goes on, Valida must assume the responsibility that comes with her title, defeat the darkest force in the Dimensions, and save the Dimensions - or die.
