PREFACE A jungle boy becomes a Professor .This fiction is a narration of his journey of life; his travel from a remote village to an Industrial city and to a University of International fame. HIS desire to live that helps him to develop skills relating to life, career and finally he achieves the pinnacle of glory. The hero "Ananda", a protagonist of the beauty of life, imbibed all the charms of Nature which he considers as his mother. Born in a forest -royal family, he sees the nakedness of animal fight, miseries, and envies in a society of nobles, in Independent India. He takes them in his stride and rises from ashes to the status of a reputed Business Professor. You may enjoy reading his trials and tribulations in education and career and his personal joys and sorrows; you will find a vivid description of the war of modernity and inherent psychological makeup of an upstart. It is purely an imaginative literary work and any similarity found with present or past personalities is incidental and should not be taken personally. It is a presentation of the complexity of the hero’s emotions expressed in different situations. While writing this novel I have intentionally tried to make it an interesting literary work that can attract the attention of learned readers. It was an evolving process in which whatever little experience I had I recollected in pieces and fixed them wherever suitable.“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”, said Benjamin Franklin. Young men in India need to empower themselves so that they can run their life without dependence on others. As in case of the hero in this fiction, Ananda, success depends on one’s ability to learn life skills. He chooses a profession that pays. Life challenges have taught him to be money-intelligent .Quite early in life he could learn that the catalyst of survival in modern time is Money.
