For young squirrels, listening to parents can be such a bother! Temptation rears its ugly head when the older squirrels taunt the younger ones with the lure of luscious, huge acorns, but the feast is in forbidden territory. Johnny takes the bait and lures his sister, Janie, and two of their friends into temptation, ultimately putting all of them and Johnny’s father in danger. Their fateful decision to sneak out of the house in the night begins with lying to their parents and ends with tragedy for Johnny who has to live with the consequences. Johnny eventually understands the importance of listening to parents and resisting peer pressure.
